Since it's snowing out today and is expected to continue for several more days, I'll share a poem I wrote during college: a poem that was a challenge to write in a style where each line starts with the next letter in the alphabet.
Arriving anywhere, at any time,
Bouncing, buffeting, trying to climb,
Crossing, crushing, living but once,
Diving, dropping, dozing as a dunce,
Enriching, encompassing hills and lakes,
Falling, freezing, forming little flakes,
Gliding gently like a gown,
Hurrying, halting, heading on down,
Immerging, icing its new world,
Jumping, jostling, around it twirls,
Killing kindling in the forest,
Landing lightly after no rest,
Making moguls any which way,
Nurturing Nature's types of play,
Offering opulence since it's awed,
Presenting purified glories of God,
Quivering quietly, pondering its worth,
Racing, rushing towards the Earth,
Soft snows settlin' all around,
Trembling, touching, building a mound,
Undulating unhurridly through the air,
Vacilating vaguely through its eyre,
Whiteland whipsers in the wind,
Yearning youthful uniqueness in blend,
Zipping, zooming, nearing the ground,
At journeys end without a sound.
